
We had a great 4th of July Celebration. The change-of-pace Service was meaningful, the music was wonderful. Josh & Tracy Giles and their helpers hosted a great cook-out lunch for us.
John Adams wrote on July 5, 1776 in a letter to his wife: "It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward forever more." And so we have.
